    Scott Abraham, MD and Michael Khadavi, MD will be presenting this CEU event on Wednesday, February 28 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. There are two (2) CEUs available.

    Scott Abraham, MD

    Dr. Abraham attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine then went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Tennessee – Campbell Clinic. He is the sports medicine provider for Ray-Pec High School but enjoys treating patients of all ages. Dr. Scott Abraham has been with Apex Orthopedics & Sports Medicine for over eight years. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and specializes in total joint replacement, sports medicine, fracture management, and Verilast technology for knee and hip replacement surgery. He has also seen great success performing outpatient joint replacements. 

    Michael Khadavi, MD

    After completing medical school at the University of Kansas and an internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Missouri, he pursued a fellowship in sports medicine from Stanford University. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with an extra certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound, interventional spine and running medicine. He specializes in non operative orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. He is the team physician for Swope Park Rangers and the KC Ballet as well as assistant physician for Sporting KC. He is also the Medical Director for Street Missions Kansas City, a non-profit medical clinic providing care for the homeless population in Kansas City.

    Objectives:

    • Understand the indications for joint replacement and stem cell procedures.
    • Learn the newest techniques for joint replacement and stem cell therapies.
    • Understand the mechanisms of action for stem cell and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment.
