Empowering Independence

image on page for / perceived to contain April is recognized as Occupational Therapy Month, honoring and appreciating the roughly 213,000 men and women in the industry dedicated to improving ease of living for clients and their families. This year’s theme is, “Occupational Therapy: Empowering Independence.” Not only would our team at LifeWise Renovations like to thank every OT and OTA (Occupational Therapist Assistant), but more specifically our very own Debbie Hartzler, CAPS, OTR/L and Clinical Operations Manager. When asked to discuss her role and working with our team of remodelers, this is what she had to say:

image on page for / perceived to contain “I have been asked many times what it is like working with contractors. I remembered writing something about this in the past. Looking back, I was surprised to see that it was six years ago. It is comforting to know that what I wrote back then still holds true today. It has been a great marriage between the OT and remodeling industries.

In honor of April being Occupational Therapy Month, I am blessed that after 35+ years in this profession, I can still say I am as excited to come to work as I was when I entered my first job in 1981. Everything I have learned along the way I use in some capacity, and I continue to add to that knowledge base daily. How fortunate to be included in a group of professionals that are rewarded by seeing the clients they work with achieving their very best. Here’s to you OT’s – Happy Occupational Therapy Month!”

From our team at LifeWise Renovations to yours, we thank every OT and OTA for your hard work and dedication to empowering independence for each of your clients.
