Clients in Crisis: LifeWise Offers a CE event on Tips to Manage the Storm

    A crisis is a moment that is overwhelming to a specific person, although the feeling of chaos may not be shared by another person. Small or large, crises happen to us all every day. For those facing health care challenges, crises can take on even greater proportions.  A patient already suffering from a physical or mental impairment may be more susceptible to changes in an environment, the feeling of being threatened, temporary confusion and physical discomfort. Health care workers see clients manifest these in many different thought processes and behaviors.

    LifeWise Renovations recognizes the importance for health care workers to understand the signs and causes of a crisis in order to intervene at the right time and in the best way. Sandra Silva, JD from the Center on BioEthics will offer suggestions on how health care workers can be supportive of clients as they navigate through these storms.  This event has been approved for social work and nursing CEUs.
